THE IMPORTANCE OF OUTDOOR ACTIVITY IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Sports and adventures are excellent adult instruments to train and educate kids, allowing them to feel their body and space across remarkable experiences.

 

Those elements make education lessons, especially the outdoor ones, a reason for joy and high expectations in young students but also opportunities for development and growth of their personality.

 

ENHANCING THE TERRITORY

Thanks to its territory, Cinque Terre faces a comparison between the roughness of the coast and its steep paths, with beauty and the vastness of the sea.

These unique features, combined with history and the exclusive beauty of this territory, are among the reasons that have allowed to be known as a world  UNESCO Heritage site since 1997.

 

THE ACTIVITY

The activity, guided by Instructors and Maestri of the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation, will be preceded by a briefing during which the students will get acquainted, and the activity program will be broadly introduced.

 

Consequently, but before leaving the shore, a short lesson will help beginners to learn basic paddling skills(we use sit-on-top kayaks), and experts to increase their technique.  This will allow who has never tried this sport to experience it fully.

 

Leaving Monterosso's beach, we will paddle to discover the history of the Cinque Terre. We will see the statue of the Giant, Montalle Villa, Aurora Tower, the Capuchin Monastery, the Church of Santa Maria Antioca, the "castrum," and much more...

INTEGRATED CLASS ACTIVITY

According to the teachers, lessons can be organized in advance to anticipate what students will discover during the educational kayak tour.

 

Our Instructors are also available to introduce the activity during your school classes briefly. During what, we'll to point out about the emission free transport we'll use the kayak, and how the day will be organized—an excellent way to reassure students, teachers, and parents.

 

GOALS

Raise awareness and respect for the territory, highlighting sustainability, how to reduce human impact, hand down local culture through historical information.

 

The key topic of the day is the value of handling different abilities and the effectiveness of working as a team.

The outdoor activity is very flexible and customizable according to needs. We, therefore, invite the teachers to communicate the focus for them essential to co-design the most suitable event for their students.
